Mission and scope

Spatial Setup publishes educational content about how technology works. We cover computers and devices, internet and connectivity, everyday inventions, image, sound and media, space and communication, and robotics and machine intelligence. We do not publish product reviews, buying advice, news or opinion pieces.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made without influence from advertisers, sponsors or companies mentioned in our content. Companies and products are named only when they are the subject of a technical or historical explanation, never as decoration and never to suggest a partnership or endorsement.

Sourcing standards

• Claims must be supported by reliable sources: standards bodies, government agencies, universities, museums, libraries and recognized reference works.
• We cite the sources we actually used, and we link to stable pages whenever possible.
• We do not invent experts, quotes, studies, statistics or testimonials.
• When something is uncertain or disputed, we say so instead of presenting it as settled.

Originality

Everything on Spatial Setup is written for this site. We do not copy text, questions or explanations from other publications, and we do not closely paraphrase them.

Quiz standards

Questions must be clear, testable and free of tricks. We do not use opinions or fast-changing facts. Every question has an explanation and a supporting source. The full criteria are on Sources and methodology.

Images

We use only images we are allowed to use: our own material or photographs published under licenses that allow this use. Each image is credited with its author, source and license on the Image credits page. Photographs illustrate a subject and are not evidence of any specific product or event.

Signature

Articles are published under the byline Spatial Setup Editorial Team. The byline reflects that content follows the standards on this page and passes through the same review process.

Updates and review

Each article shows its publication date and the date it was last reviewed. We revisit articles when a source changes, when a reader reports a problem or when a technology changes in a way that affects the explanation. Corrections are handled as described in the Corrections policy.

Commercial content

The site currently carries no advertising, sponsored content or affiliate links. Should this change, commercial content will be clearly labeled and separated from editorial content, and this policy will be updated beforehand.
